Actor Barry Williams is reeling over the loss of his TV mom Florence Henderson.
The "Brady Bunch" star — who played the eldest son Greg Brady on the sitcom — shared his remorse after learning Henderson had died of heart failure on Thursday at 82.
"Deeply saddened. Florence was one of the most gracious people I have ever known, Proud to call her Mom and life long friend. #RIPFlorence," Williams, 62, wrote on Twitter Friday morning.

Williams famously detailed in his autobiography "Growing Up Brady" that he was infatuated with his on-screen mom Carol Brady — even noting that the pair went on a date.
However, it seemed the story of their "date" was blown out of proportion as both Williams and Henderson later shared that the actress was only trying to humor the teenager, rather than actually pursue a relationship.

At the time of the date, Williams was just 16 and Henderson was 36. His brother even had to drive him to the restaurant because he didn't have a license yet, according to the Huffington Post.
The story gained so much attention that the late Henderson addressed the tidbit on the Frequently Asked Questions section of her website.

"That whole thing with Barry got blown way out of proportion. I guess in a sense it was a date, because Barry thought it was. But of course, I had no idea that his intentions were to 'date' me," she wrote.
"It has made for a good story though!"
The rest of "Growing Up Brady" centered on Williams' real relationship with co-star Maureen McCormick, who played the eldest sister Marcia on the ABC series.

McCormick also opened up about the unfortunate passing of the show's matriarch on Twitter Thursday.
"Florence Henderson was a dear friend for so very many years & in my (heart) forever," McCormick tweeted. "Love & hugs to her family. I'll miss u dearly."
Henderson passed away surrounded by family and friends on Thanksgiving at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. She is survived by her four children, Barbara, Joseph, Robert and Lizzie, and five grandchildren.
