Mel C has no plans to spice up her life again.
The singer, known less as Melanie Chisholm, penned a lengthy essay to Love Magazine to explain her surprising decision to refrain from a highly anticipated Spice Girls reunion.
"The fascination with the band never seems to go away. It's a blessing and a curse all at the same time," she wrote in a piece posted Monday.
"Daily I'm asked 'are the girls getting back together?' Then it's When? How? Why?" she continued.

Sporty Spice went on to recall the constant questioning finally stopping when the girl band briefly reunited in 2007 and later at the 2012 London Olympics.
"We had done it — the fans were happy and we were happy. But the minute that tour ended it started again," she recalled.
The 42-year-old, who has gone on to release six independent albums, declared she will be "a Spice Girl until I die" but is content to leave her '90s fame in the past.

"The continuous speculation on whether we will reform to celebrate 20 years of 'Wannabe' has been particularly exhausting," she said.
"Don't get me wrong — I totally get it. But is it a new rule that bands have to reform? Why can't we just be remembered for our incredible achievements in the nineties," she asked.
The songstress also touched on fame and said she's "a songwriter and singer" but "not a celebrity."

The personal essay comes on the heels of rampant rumors that the former girl bander was considering legal action to put a stop to a potential reunion next summer.
She joins Victoria Beckham, aka Posh Spice, in not reuniting with the band. Still, Beckham has expressed support for her former bandmates to continue on without her.
The remaining three Spice Girls—Scary Spice (Mel Brown), Baby Spice (Emma Bunton) and Ginger Spice (Geri Horner) stand firm in their plans to perform new material — a move that could make them $14 million a piece.
The three women are expected to come together at London’s Hyde Park next July to celebrate the band’s 20th anniversary.
