Four people were injured — three of them gravely — after two SUVs crashed in Brooklyn, officials said.
Overturned strollers on opposite sides of the street marked the scene where a pair of SUVs — a Chevrolet Tahoe and Nissan Pathfinder — both lost control and careened over the curbs, slamming into pedestrians near Rutland Rd. in East Flatbush at about 9:15 a.m. on Monday, a Fire Department spokesman said.
Emergency responders rushed the victims to Brookdale University Hospital and Kings County Hospital. It was not immediately clear where each victim was taken.
Three people were listed in critical condition and the fourth person was listed with serious but non-life-threatening wounds, the spokesman said. Their ages were not immediately known.
It was not clear what led both vehicles to run off the road.

The grey Pathfinder came to a stop on the sidewalk in front of a home on Remsen Ave. On the opposite side of the intersection, past a triangular traffic island and up on the sidewalk on 52nd St. sat the Tahoe.
A child’s scooter and woman’s cell phone were also left at the scene.
It was not clear what led both vehicles to run off the road. The NYPD Collision Investigation Squad was probing the incident.
