The woman shot dead in an apparent ***-suicide in the Bronx was pregnant with her killer's child, police said Wednesday.
Florida Lumi, 29, had moved in with Fred Rudaj, 39, and was living in the gated community in Pelham Bay where police found both dead Tuesday afternoon.
"Neither one has prior history on domestic incidents as well. It's a bit of a puzzle for us right now," said NYPD Chief of Detectives Robert Boyce.
It looks like they were having some kind of domestic dispute.
Cops found both Lumi and Rudaj dead in a home at the end of Outlook Ave. near Griswold Ave. at about 1:30 p.m., police said.
A little more than 12 hours earlier, at 1 a.m., a neighbor heard the two arguing, then a gunshot, but didn't call police, Boyce said.
The couple had known each other for about nine months, Boyce said.
It was unclear how many weeks pregnant Lumi was.
Police found a 9-mm handgun that was stolen from Minneapolis on the floor of the home, Boyce said.
A relative of Ridaj's was too upset to talk about the couple Wednesday night.
"Right now we're in tears," Linda Rudaj said over the phone.
