Everybody loved Doris Roberts. The four-time Emmy winner who died on April 17 at age 90 will be celebrated at a public tribute at noon on May 16 led by her “Everybody Loves Raymond” costar Ray Romano. Broadway star Barbara Cook will perform.
Beginning in the 1950s, Roberts’ Broadway career included William Marchant’s “The Desk Set,” Neil Simon’s “The Last of the Red Hot Lovers” and Terrence McNally’s “Bad Habits.”
